Climb Nevada Pisco Mountain (5752m) in Peru exact date TBC July 2021

The Cordillera Blanca or “White Mountain Range” is the world’s highest tropical mountain range, the Western Cordillera of the Andes of Peru. It is part of Huascaran National Park and international Biosphere reserve, it is an incredible destination for mountaineering and trekking in Peru, especially for those people who love mountains and less crowded paths. Cordillera Blanca area is considered tropical since its altitude is between only about 8-10 degrees south of the equator.

It has several beautiful lakes and gorgeous mountains above 5,000m in the Andes of Peru and the highest mountain is “Huascaran” 6,768 meters of altitude.

The Cordillera Blanca is a watershed; the Santa River along Callejon de Huaylas belongs to the Pacific Ocean, while the Marañon River basin to the east belongs to the slope of the Atlantic Ocean.

Moreover, in urban areas, people speak Spanish and in rural areas, they speak Quechua and still maintain many aspects of traditional Andean Culture and all these reasons make Peru an amazing country to visit.
