We are excited to bring you this year’s STAR Backyard Trail Events.

Like last year, the STAR BackYard Trail Running Event will take place in the villages of Shere, Holmbury St Mary and Peaslake in the Surrey Hills.

These are 3 hour events, they will start at 6.00pm and finish at 9.00pm. You simply need to complete as many 5km laps as you can in the allocated time, it’s as easy as that!

No chip timing, just a number to wear, we will place a band on you wrist to signify each lap completed.

Please be aware that this is a headtorch event so caution will need to be taken when navigating yourself around the course. For our second event, our route will take you up and out of Felday Glade in a clockwise direction heading up to the summit of Holmbury Hill. A gentle ascent to start with then a levelling out mid route followed by a short steep track that will lead you to the top. From there it’s pretty much downhill for a good 2km section, then a nother short steep attack before swinging around back to the village hallto register your lap.

There is Free but fairly limited parking at the village hall car park and in and around the village. We highly encourage you to car share as much as possible
